Facts about reflection and refraction
When you look at an object, the light from it enters your eye through the pupil. The iris changes the size of the pupil, depending on how bright the light is. The lens focuses the light onto the back of the eye: the retina. The retina receives the image that the cornea focuses through the eye's internal lens and transforms this image into electrical impulses that are carried by the optic nerve to the brain.
As you can see the picture below has a reflection of the moon. It is like a tennis ball when you throw at a wall it bounces back therefore the angle of incidence on the surface equals the angle which it is reflected. If the surface is smooth and flat the light will bounce off it at equal angles however if the surface is rough then the light scatters.

Light is a type of radiant energy that we are able to see with our eyes. Visible light is a small part of a large part of what is called the Electromagnetic Spectrum. They make light by passing electricity through a very thin wire filament so it gets incredibly hot. Excited atoms inside the hot filament turn the electrical energy passing through them into light you can see by constantly giving off photons.

Light Experiments
I worked with three people to capture this picture, and this experiment is called the coloured light experiment. In this experiment we used different colours of filters and put them in right in front of the light and depending what colour the filter it gives small beams of light.
In this picture we try to focus on the beam of the light and blur out the background with a different colour.

This is a cup diffraction experiment, in this experiment we took pictures whilst one of my partners used a straw to change it into bubbles , also we used a torch to make the water look effective as it makes the water colour look different. In addition, we try to focus on the water movement.

This is called a Colored Gel experiment- In this experiment we used normal white lights however in front of the white light we used a plastic colored paper to give out different range of light. One of my partners allowed us to take a picture of him with the lights facing him and as you can see in the background it gives a shadow mixed in with colors.

Shadow experiment-In this experiment someone from my group try make a kangaroo from his hands and it created this and its focus on the hand and not the background
